ABOUT
Juliana Ponce de León is a London-based demi-couture womenswear house that explores women’s history through contemporary garment development. Each piece is designed and made in London, available exclusively through the atelier.
Rather than treating history as a reference, the house approaches it as a field of study. Collections are developed through historical research, archival investigation, and dialogue with curators, historians, and specialists. Each collection begins with two distinct historical periods, with connections between them gradually revealed through the process.
Founded by Colombia-born designer Juliana Ponce de León, the house builds upon her training at FIDM in Los Angeles, Istituto Marangoni in Paris, and early studies at Palazzo Spinelli Istituto per l’Arte e il Restauro in Florence. Her experience spans Christian Louboutin, Dior, Rick Owens, and Carolina Herrera before launching her eponymous label in 2024.
The house works across bespoke, made-to-order, and ready-to-wear commissions. Collections are developed using couture-grade fabrics and materials, with construction focused on precision tailoring and craftsmanship.
